Freelance Writing

PhotoI am Nick Cartwright, I am widely respected as an expert in medical law and ethics and have worked with print and broadcast media companies including the BBC, ITV, More4, The Guardian, The Independent and the Economist. Links to examples of my work are on the right of the screen.

I have just finished an article for Eulogy, the world's first magazine to celebrate life and death. This was an exciting project that considered the case of Frances Inglis who was convicted of murder for releasing her own son from what she described as a 'living hell'. Frances' case will be heard in the Court of Appeal in July 2010. Frances' case contrasts with that of Kay Gilderdale who was found not guilty of murdering her daughter less that a fortnight after Frances began her life sentence.

I also maintain a blog giving my views on issues of interest and have another site where I offer tuition and proof-reading services to law students.

If you think you would benefit from my expertise please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,

Nick Cartwright
